Q. Who can attend The Facilities Show 2010?

Anyone in the trade. The Facilities Show is a purely trade event and NOT open to the public. You will need to bring identification of trade status.  PLEASE NOTE - NO CHILDREN UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE ARE ADMITTED TO THE EVENT.

Q. How can I register to attend the 2010 event?

Register Free for The Facilities Show 2010. Registering before the show date means you gain quick entry on the day and receive continual updates on all the latest news and features.

Q. When will I receive my visitor badge?

Your badge and show preview will be despatched approximately 3 weeks prior to the show either through the post or online depending on which options you selected in the registration form.

Q. What should I do if the details on my badge are incorrect?

When you arrive onsite, the badge query desk can amend any details and print off a revised version of your badge.

Q. What if I have forgotten my badge when I arrive at the show?

Just go to the registration desk at the entrance and give the staff your name. They will locate your details on our database and issue you with a new badge.

Q. How can I register my colleagues?

Your colleagues can register online. They will then receive show updates and be notified when registration is open.

Q. As a visitor to The Facilities Show 2010, do I have access to any other co-located shows?


Yes, from Monday 10th May, you will be able to visit IFSEC - The World's Largest Security Event and from Tuesday 11th May you will be able to visit Safety & Health Expo.

The Protection & Management Series, which runs from 11-13 May 2010, combines to form the largest gathering of security, safety and facilities management products in the world.

Q. Can I register when I arrive at the exhibition?

Yes, simply complete a registration form at the entrance to the show.

Q. What happens if I don't receive my name badge before the show?

In the unlikely event that you don't receive your name badge and welcome pack from us don't worry! You will receive an email the week before which will contain your unique reference number. Simply print off this email and bring it with you to the show where we will print you another badge. If you forget to print the email, just give your name at the registration desk and we will manually search for your details in order to print another badge.

Q. What are the opening times?

Tuesday 11 May  10:00 - 17:00 
Wednesday 12 May  10:00 - 17:00 
Thursday 13 May  10:00 - 16:00  

Q. Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is car parking for 21,000 vehicles at a cost of £8 per day and regular complimentary shuttle buses to and from the main entrances.

Q. Is there a cloakroom for bags and coats?

Cloakrooms are situated adjacent to the hall entrances and are open daily until twenty minutes after the close of the exhibition. The charge per item is £1.

Q. Can I bring children?

Children under 16 are not permitted to attend the exhibition.  The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry into the exhibition.

Q. I am a student, am I able to attend the event?

Students are permitted entry to The Facilities Show 2010 via prior arrangement only. Please email Rachel Cowdrey on rachel.cowdrey@ubm.com  for further information and guidelines.

Q. What time do the doors open?

The halls open for visitors at 10am everyday. Please refer to the When & Where page for full details of show opening hours and how to get to the NEC, Birmingham.

Q. Where can I eat?

Themed cafés serving light snacks and refreshments can be found within the halls alongside numerous bars, restaurants and seating areas offering anything from a quick drink to a more substantial meal.

Q. Is there a cashpoint?

Full banking facilities are available at the Natwest Bank located in the Piazza outside Hall 4. Cashpoints are located adjacent to Hall 1 and in the Atrium, opposite Hall 8 and next to Hall 9.

Q. Are there disabled facilities at the NEC?

All levels of The NEC are accessible to wheelchair users, via ramps or lifts. The Piazza and Atrium main entrances have automatic doors. The NEC has wheelchairs available for hire, please telephone +44 (0) 121 780 4141 to book in advance.
